Project Foundation: AI-native ODA canvas
The Concept
This Innovation Hub Pioneer Project is creating a secure, open, multi‑vendor AI‑native ODA Canvas sandbox where CSPs, vendors, and innovators can build, integrate, and demonstrate AI agents aligned to the TM Forum’s AI‑Native Blueprint. With a “code‑first” approach, the project shifts participants from conceptual discussions to hands‑on, production‑driven engineering across data, agent interactions, and model lifecycle management.
Scope & key activities
The AI Native ODA Canvas initiative focuses on establishing a shared, standards aligned foundation and demonstrating real-world autonomous operations through validated use cases. The work progresses from platform enablement to applied use cases, culminating in a fully integrated, industry ready demonstration for DTW Ignite 2026.
- Establish a multi vendor AI Native ODA Canvas foundation to support consistent onboarding, governance, and execution
- Deploy core AI, data, security, and API management capabilities aligned with TM Forum standards
- Validate the platform through a minimal end to end “Hello World” agent scenario planned to be showcased at DTW Ignite 2026
- Design and deliver MVP level autonomous use cases, including security agent, fault resolution, and 5G dynamic slice management
- Integrate capabilities into a single end-to-end scenario and prepare a live demonstration for DTW Ignite 2026
Objectives & outcomes
The AI Native ODA Canvas initiative aims to deliver a standards aligned, developer ready foundation for AI native telecom architectures and to demonstrate its value through validated autonomous scenarios. The programme culminates in a live, end to end industry showcase at DTW 2026, providing reusable assets and learnings to accelerate member adoption.
- Establish a developer ready AI Native ODA Canvas aligned with the TM Forum AI Native Blueprint, enabling consistent onboarding, governance, and execution of agentic applications
- Validate telecom grade autonomous use cases - including Security Agent, Fault Resolution, and 5G Dynamic Slice Management - on a shared, multi vendor foundation platform
- Deliver and showcase a minimal end to end “Hello World” agent scenario demonstrating core platform integration and runtime capabilities
- Present a fully integrated, end to end industry reference demonstration at DTW Ignite 2026, combining the Hello World scenario with mature autonomous use cases
- Produce reusable assets, patterns, and learnings to support scalable adoption of AI Native architectures across the TM Forum ecosystem
